Art Collaboration at the Putney Public Library

The Community Book of Hope

Over several months, artists and writers, adults and children, professionals and amateurs were invited to contribute work to a community book in response to the prompt, “HOPE is...”

This joining together of creativity and community is a powerful light in the dark. Sharing gifts of image and word to foster community unity is one of the greatest HOPES we have.

Several images and text were put on display in the library’s gallery space during the months of March and April 2019 as an inspiration for widespread participation throughout the Putney community. These display images will ultimately be bound into a book. Several open workshops were offered to the public at the library with free materials. During the month of May 2019, I will bind all submitted work into a book which will be on display at the library.
